Tests Contracts

Tests Contracts module

Checks service and UI contract invariants.

Shared contract tests

Node contract tests cover content-provider shapes, native HTTP/account clients, SQLite outbox behaviour and mobile-device wiring. They protect the service boundary when demo and native runtimes implement the same user-facing action. A test for an error or retry state should confirm the UI does not convert that error to success.

Limits and release use

Contract tests do not prove a device has an actual Capacitor camera plugin, secure vault or native SQLite binary. Keep test fixtures separate from customer bundles, report the exact runtime and node version, and pair native contract success with physical Android testing before calling the feature complete.

Scope of reproducibility

Tests should use exact source imports and pinned tool versions. If a test mock proves only interface shape, say so. Record which native SDK methods still need actual device evidence; contract suites can prevent some integration mistakes but cannot substitute for installing the real APK.

Maintenance and evidence

Check all affected file references and the matching human-readable user/architecture page when source changes. Run the module’s contract or governance checks; staging, payment and native hardware tests remain independent of source inventory coverage.
