Tools Governance

Tools Governance module

Verifies dependency, documentation, source and release boundaries without suppressing failures.

Multiple independent rules

The governance directory contains source inventory and mirrored agent-guide review, dependency checks, library policy, licensing evidence, database/PHP boundaries, presenter baselines, documentation history and native release checks. Each test protects a different class of costly regression. A licensing check cannot prove that a payment works; a native gate cannot prove WordPress revisions were retained.

Source and release evidence

inventory.py hashes owned directories and files. agents.py compares those inventories with reviewer-annotated directory guides. check_history.py checks numbered chronology, immutable prior rows and an explicitly sealed current source tree. check_disaster_recovery.py requires a reviewed whole-stack recovery page and command references. The mobile gate requires actual native proof and must not be weakened merely because SDK packages are not installed.

When changing a gate

Write a failing test demonstrating the undesirable behaviour first. Include both a positive test and a deliberately invalid source/document case. Document which inputs the gate can actually verify and which require human/staging/hardware review. Never claim automated text length establishes technical correctness by itself.

Maintenance and evidence

Check all affected file references and the matching human-readable user/architecture page when source changes. Run the module’s contract or governance checks; staging, payment and native hardware tests remain independent of source inventory coverage.
